Cost / Payment
This year we are requesting that individuals pay on this scale:
Adults (Age 12+) $65
Children (3-11) $45
Children (2 & under) FREE
The fee goes to cover the the costs of this event (Camp registration, Food, & Firewood)
*We have always strived to not exclude anyone due to financial strain. There are scholarships available if you would like to attend and cannot afford the fee.

Meals/Food
Meals at the retreat are designed as build your own or buffet style.
This style of meals allows us to cater to attendees with certain dietary needs (vegetarian, lactose intolerance, nut allergies). Though we try to meet most dietary needs, if you have a specific dietary for you or your child please bring what will be needed for your family.
Friday Dinner: Soups (vegetarian and meat) and bread
Saturday breakfast: Omelets made to order
Saturday Lunch: Build your own potato bar, hot dogs, and salad bar
Saturday Dinner: Build your own taco/nacho and salad bar
Sunday Brunch: Pancakes with made to order mix-ins
Drinks available through weekend are coffee, Hot tea, ice water, lemonade
Additionally other food is available through out the weekend (Ex. fruit, brownies, s'mores materials, peanut butter/jelly, mac & cheese)
We provide limited fridge/freezer space for personal items.
About the Camp
After passing the park entrance gate, follow signs for campground. If attendee is at campground registration let them know you are with the group camp. Turn left at first road after camp store, road imediatly makes a sharp right on left will be a narrow road down hill follow this to the group campground parking
The camp was built by the CCC.
The camp is on the banks of Lake James. The camp consists of:
A large communal building with industrial kitchen, used for dining, leisure, crafts, games, or enjoying the wood burning fireplace.
A counselor cabin (used for groups with mobility issues or special needs)
Two large bunkhouse
11 smaller cabins (unheated) that contain bunks for up 6-8
Volleyball court, half-court basketball, shower house, campfire ring
FAQs
What should I bring?
Clothing appropiate for the weather, toiletries and a towel, bedding (sleeping bag, pillow, blankets, etc) the bunks are xl twin bed size. You many also like to have a reusable coffee mug/water bottle and a folding camp chair.
Any games, crafts, or other activities that you enjoy or want to share.
What planed activities are there?
Besides meal times, there are no other arranged group activities. At camp people will often deceide to plan hikes, horseback riding at the Pokagon barn, trips into nearby Angola or the local brewery/wineries.
What are my responsibilites as an attendee?
Everyone is responsible for washing and putting away their own personal dishes after each meal. Additionally everyone (including children) will be asked to work one meal or cleanup crew during the weekend. These will be a meal prep or cleanup, or for night owls, a late night cleanup of the group space.
Additionally at the end of the weekend you will be reposible for cleaning up in and arround your cabin including sweeping floor and making sure windows/shutters are closed and sealed.
We also ask that on Sunday everyone dedicate some time to help clean the shared areas of the camp.
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately no. Pokagon state park is pet friendly, but due to the historic nature of group camp, pets are prohibited. Service animals are allowed.
Are there prohibited items?
Firearms of any type, fireworks, personal tents, firewood.
Are there any additional fees?
You will need to pay a park entrance fee when you enter the park. After you reach the group camp we can provide you with a parking pass that will allow you to come and go throughout the weekend.
